About The Opportunity

The Senior Associate, Marketing - Cybersecurity will provide essential marketing support to FTI's Cybersecurity practice.

Overall Responsibilities

Handling day-to-day administrative tasks, maintaining practice content on the corporate website, intranet and external microsites, preparing social media messaging, preparing internal/external communications using digital marketing platform, tracking segment communications as well as events, thought leadership and other collateral.

Primary Duties
  • Assist the practice and Director of Marketing with the development of internal/external communications and content (i.e., thought leadership, events, newsletters, collateral, etc.) including drafting, editing, designing and distributing original content via our email management platform, Eloqua, in connection with practice email campaigns.
  • Team with practitioners and marketing/business development staff around the world to market the services and expertise of the practice group through the development and deployment of thought leadership content and other profile-raising activities
  • Pitch story ideas and provide spokespeople to reporters as appropriate, track published articles and consider social media strategy around key projects.
  • Manage practice group awards and award rankings, assist regions and offices in articulating key messages for directory submissions and share best practices in the award submissions process.


Analysis and Research
  • Actively develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market and the competitive position of FTI's practice group through extensive internal and external research.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate market, industry and competitive trends for the practice.
  • Research potential presentation and sponsorship opportunities.


Marketing/Communications
  • Coordinate the review and continuous improvement of the practice group's suite of marketing materials, including capabilities statements, pitch templates, deals lists, website content (internal and external) and press releases.
  • Drive internal communications for the practice group and assist in building a cohesive and well-informed practice.
  • Draft and update content on the corporate website and segment intranets which includes new hire announcements, web profiles, collateral (e.g., case studies, website content, brochures), service sheets, and other marketing collateral
  • Oversee updates of professional biographies, CVs and headshots
  • Assist with external microsites including content management
  • Prepare and assist with social media content and messaging
  • Maintain internal calendar to track communications, thought leadership, events, deliverables, etc.
  • Develop and maintain target audience databases
  • Define audiences to whom we should be speaking and marketing
  • Working with our Salesforce team, liaise with segment professionals to build and maintain information in FTI's CRM system
  • Assist in developing and managing content and collateral for the segment (i.e., case studies, website content, bios, brochures, etc.)
  • Coordinate and track events and sponsorship planning
  • Research practice sponsorships and speaking opportunities (i.e., understanding where our competitors and peers are speaking, sponsoring, etc.)
  • Coordinate and execute practice events (i.e. collateral, giveaways, booth set-up/take-down, etc.)
  • Develop and oversee a process for follow up after significant marketing/business development events
  • Develop internal communications for the segment
  • Develop and maintain information about awards won within the segment and market that information appropriately (i.e., develop statistics and marketing messages to promote our awards externally to differentiate FTI in the market)
  • Maintain current templates for branding purposes (e.g., bios, engagement highlights) and oversee consistent use
  • Other special projects as may be assigned from time to time


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of marketing experience. Marketing experience with a professional services firm, law firm or corporation is highly desired.


Skills
  • Superior communication including writing, speaking and listening
  • Excellent, concise and persuasive business writing skills (writing sample submissions required)
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design is preferred, including Photoshop, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, WordPress and email management platforms (Eloqua) and client relationship systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgement
  • Ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Act as spokesperson for FTI for external audiences
  • Ability to travel as required (15%)

Preferred Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategies and programs developed to drive business objectives and provide the overall direction for marketing and sales support activities
  • Understanding of competitive positioning leveraged to contribute to the development of messaging, marketing strategies, and proposals
  • Basic understanding of key business issues our clients are facing and aligning go-to-market strategy and point-of-view(s) around those issues.
