About The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to Senior Managing Directors and Managing Directors in the Forensic Accounting & Advisory Services practice in our office in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will perform all administrative functions and will need to possess the ability to successfully balance assignments and a variety of tasks from multiple individuals. This role will be responsible for routine and non-routine tasks and will require independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize workload. Candidate may interact with clients and other FTI leaders and will be required to maintain absolute discretion, professionalism and confidentiality. Primary Duties:

General Administration

  • Create, organize and maintain paper and electronic files
  • Maintain multiple Microsoft Outlook calendars, identifying conflicts and resolving promptly
  • Maintain contact lists and update as needed; input new business contacts into SalesForce CRM
  • Assist with new client opportunities including initial input into SalesForce and running conflict checks as well as drafting letters of engagement and assisting in producing pitch materials
  • Coordinate all meeting and travel arrangements, both domestic and international
  • Set-up conference calls, both domestic and international, including contacting/notifying participants
  • Compose, type, edit, proofread and format correspondence and reports
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using company templates for correspondence and presentations
  • Sort, read and distribute internal and external mail
  • Answer all assigned phones courteously and professionally, take accurate and complete messages and fulfill requests
  • Assist in prioritization of tasks, correspondence and phone messages for executives
  • Complete requests for overnight deliveries, faxes and couriers
Financial Administration
  • Capture time and expense in applicable FTI systems such as Chrome River and Elite and apply to proper charge codes
  • Maintain reconciliation of business expenses as required by executives
  • Assist with client billing, client invoice creation, review and revision and collection matters as needed
  • Process check requests and outside vendor and contractor invoices
Technology Application
  • Create documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Assist in research projects by efficiently conducting online searches and providing information requested in summary form
  • Ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Carpe Diem and SalesForce
Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of administrative support experience required
  • 1+ years of experience in a corporate/ law firm/ professional services firm
Preferred Skills:
  • Proactive and initiates projects; enthusiastically accepts new assignments and challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
  • Capacity to multi-task, prioritize assignments and effectively manage time
  • Lead by example regarding efficient work habits and professional behavior
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team, yet be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform all tasks with attention to detail and review for accuracy
  • Maintain courteous, professional manner in person and on the phone
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Law firm/legal background a plus
