Position Overview
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for top level and departmental financial planning & analysis, and plays a key role in the delivery of timely accurate financial reporting to management, lenders and ownership. This role requires a high degree of teamwork and partnership to proactively manage financial reporting and forecasts, and respond to evolving business strategies in a fast-paced, growth environment. Additionally, the Analyst is a key participant in the monthly accounting close for The Results Companies and subsidiaries.
Duties and Responsibilities
â?¢ Assists with internal and external financial reporting and performs detailed financial analysis utilizing our Performance Management Software Tool (Tagetik).
â?¢ Responsible for maintenance of the company's budgeting and forecasting models and related analysis
â?¢ Assists with cash management and cash flow planning
â?¢ Engages with departmental operating teams to own and facilitate departmental budgets/forecasts, variance analysis, as well as, other operational analysis as required.
â?¢ Assist Corporate Accounting Team with Month-end Closing to include review of subsidiary financials, consolidations, foreign currency translation and other activities in support of timely financial reporting.
â?¢ Reviews/performs periodic balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis and takes appropriate follow-up action as required
â?¢ Assists finance team with change management, process enhancements and system implementations
â?¢ Serves as primary contact for annual audits and responsible for coordinating client assistance requested by the auditors
â?¢ Provides tax compliance support, as required
â?¢ Assists with ad hoc reporting requests, bank covenant compliance, required lender reporting, accounting for acquisitions and assisting with integration of acquired companies as directed
Qualifications
â?¢ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
â?¢ MBA, CPA, or other advanced certifications preferred
â?¢ Minimum 4 ' 6+ years relevant work experience focused on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis & modeling
â?¢ 2-4+ years with a Regional/ National Public Accounting Firm preferred
â?¢ Strong MS Office skills specifically advanced knowledge of excel
â?¢ Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to be thorough with attention to detail
â?¢ Ability to be a self-starter, take initiative and follow through while working independently
â?¢ Experience with accounting and reporting software systems; experience with SAGE accounting and Tagetik financial reporting software a plus
â?¢ Team player with the ability to work and communicate effectively with people at different levels within an organization
â?¢ Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
