Position Overview

The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling all aspects of procurement including sourcing processes, purchasing and procurement standards, supplier pricing and selection and global purchasing agreements. Oversee the corporate wide activities of ordering services and products from vendors in the most cost and time efficient manner, while managing to corporate business outcome expectations over quality deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees and directs the outsourcing processes, purchasing, and procurement standards
Plans/coordinates work the best deals for products and services purchases
Ensures the goal of purchasing products and services in the most cost and time efficient manner on both new and renewal vendor contracts, purchase requests, feasibility analyses
Keeps current on technology products and services as pertains to the BPO industry
Reviews current enterprise wide services/purchases and looks to gain synergies and pricing reductions over standards and/or moving to central vendor for common services
Partners with the organizations management in the evaluation and selection of vendors as well as the negotiation of purchase contracts or service level agreements
Handles problems with vendors or products as necessary and may serve as a mediator for disputes between vendors and staff/management
Familiar with a variety of the financial management concepts, practices and procedures as it relates to the procurement function
Evaluates and develops processes to streamline the procurement function
Performs market analysis to ensure vendor is providing the best overall value
High degree of experience over the procurement to payment process, analyzing trends, delivering upon change improvement opportunities that prove efficiency gains in processing overhead or financial savings with vendors
Participate as an integral part of key presentations of vendor analyses, and other deliverables in support of the Senior Management team
Subject matter expert providing key inputs for vendor analysis/scorecards to support corporate teams
Relies on extensive procurement experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in a corporate purchasing and sourcing role
Solid working knowledge of complete procurement cycle with a hands on work style.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and provide insight on supply markets in a wide variety of categories.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in the corporation
