IT Operations Manager

Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier Corporate Staff; IT Operations Manager. This position is responsible for designing, deploying, securing, operating and managing Ausley's IT infrastructure, Desktops, Mobile Devices, Help Desk, and Cyber Security operations. The IT Operations Manager works with other business and IT staff to confirm requirements, design technical solutions, deploy resources, measure success, and continuously improve the IT operating environment that serves both internal and external customers.

The main objective is to provide secure, stable, reliable and cost-efficient IT infrastructure solutions to enable the operational business activities and to lead the effective introduction and adoption of technology solutions to improve business productivity.

This is a hands-on position that requires both leadership and active involvement in day to day IT operations; reporting to the Director of Corporate Operations.

Essential Job Functions of this Position:
  • Responsible for the overall design, deployment, operation and continuous improvement of Ausley's enterprise IT Infrastructure including and other IT toolsets.
  • Provide subject matter expertise as required to identify, analyze and solve infrastructure related problems across the enterprise.
  • Oversee Ausley IT Operations, Help Desk, Architecture, and Security staff and service delivery processes
  • Responsible for IT service and equipment supplier relationships; authorizes procurement of IT resources including hardware, software, licenses and other items related to IT service delivery.
  • Ensure that IT infrastructure preventive maintenance processes are defined and performed
  • Ensure up to date backups of critical data and IT infrastructure configurations
  • Maintain appropriate redundancy for all key enterprise IT systems
  • Develop and maintain plans to quickly recover IT services and restore business operations in case of unexpected failures or cyber-related incidents
  • Perform regular audits of IT infrastructure and cyber security, acting to resolve gaps in a timely and acceptable manner
  • Establish and adhere to key performance indicators for IT service delivery
  • Ensure that documentation of all IT infrastructure and processes is available and is up-to-date
  • Prepare, obtain approval of, and execute Ausley's IT budget including medium to long term planning for IT Infrastructure and forecast of resources requirements and required capacities; taking timely actions to mitigate unexpected variances and avoiding annual budget overruns.

Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or at least 10 years of related experience in the technology industry.
  • Minimum 8 years IT Infrastructure experience including 5+ years in managerial roles
  • Strong understanding of various IT technologies (e.g. Servers, Networking, Virtualization, MS Windows, Cloud, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with the design and deployment of enterprise scale systems infrastructure, including capacity planning and disaster recovery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing ITAAS (IT as a service) processes, vetting operating options, developing cost models and managing suppliers.
  • Experience protecting network infrastructure and endpoints from malware and other malicious cyber activity
  • Experience integrating 3 rd Party Applications and data connections into corporate business workflows
  • Experience in planning and managing departmental expense and capital budgets
  • Project and program management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of a Windows servers and applications including; Active Directory, Office 365, and Sharepoint
  • Experience in Sharepoint development a plus
  • ITIL Certification a plus, other professional/technical certifications as appropriate
  • An active security clearance is preferred
