Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking a Nurse Manager - Outpatient to work with our client. In this role, you will guide and direct outpatient clinical staff to ensure that nursing care is delivered in alignment with hospital departmental policies and procedures, established standards of nursing practice, and regulations defined by the state of Texas. The Nurse Manager actively assesses, monitors, and manages the quality, quantity, and composition of nursing staff assigned to the clinics, ensuring optimal staffing and patient care on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Operations & Staff Management
  • Guide and direct outpatient clinical staff to ensure quality care aligned with policies and regulations.
  • Define clinical personnel requirements and competencies with the Director of Nursing.
  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet clinical and financial goals.
  • Interview, hire, orient, and evaluate clinical personnel.
  • Ensure nursing care meets hospital, clinic, and state standards.
  • Coordinate nursing functions such as assessment, patient teaching, and documentation.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the clinic and assist with staffing when needed.
  • Facilitate patient flow, communication, and problem resolution.
  • Assist nursing staff in evaluating patient care needs.
  • Identify and address unsafe practices and ensure staff participation in safety training.
  • Support implementation of medical office policies related to care delivery.

Leadership, Administration & Strategic Support
  • Represent the clinic in hospital-wide programs and cross-functional meetings.
  • Assist in conducting orientation programs for nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Manager on budgeting for supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Lead or participate in task forces, committees, and integrated care initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and leadership.
  • Escalate operational issues to the Director of Clinic Operations / Director of Nursing.
  • Encourage staff participation in clinic activities and serve as a role model.
  • Engage in continuing education and share knowledge with staff.
  • Support internal controls and compliance monitoring.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Minimum of 5 years in healthcare, preferably outpatient, with supervisory experience.
  • Current RN license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
