InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse / RN to work with our client. In this role, you will provide general nursing care to our patient population in a corrections facility. Will be required to work the weekend every third week.

Primary Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive health care to 20-60 bedridden inmates, including:
- Conducting medical rounds and evaluating care needs
- Developing care plans and educating on health care principles
- Administering medications, including narcotics
- Delivering direct nursing care as needed
- Perform specialized medical procedures such as:
- IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, and oxygen therapy
- Dialysis, blood transfusions, intubation, CPR
- Tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy
- Lead and organize emergency response:
- Oversee 'Code Blue' team operations
- Supervise hospital aides and licensed practical nurses
- Assist physicians with diagnostic health evaluations for students
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Administrative & Clerical Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate medical documentation:
- Chart medications, treatments, and medical information
- Complete incident, accident, and Medicaid reports
- Order and inventory supplies, equipment, and controlled substances
- Coordinate external medical services:
- Schedule outpatient clinic appointments and school physician exams
- Manage prescription orders and refills through local pharmacy
- Perform administrative and liaison duties:
- Attend and conduct meetings
- Serve as instructor and participate in problem-solving teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Biennial renewal of licensure as a registered nurse.
- Current immunizations.
- Current BLS certification.
- Computer literate.
