InGenesis is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist Supervisor to work with our client. In this role, you will lead and support Psychology Assistant staff at a Developmental Center. This role is responsible for overseeing psychological services, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and contributing to the well-being and development of individuals served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Psychology Assistants, including performance evaluations, scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Evaluate and authorize treatment plans, therapies, and psychological testing to ensure alignment with professional standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, DODD).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on diagnoses, behavioral data, psychological assessments, and interdisciplinary team input.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Serve as Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, reviewing and authorizing restrictive measures to ensure humane, trauma-informed implementation.
- Perform psychological evaluations, contribute to Individual Service Plans, and assess individuals for suicide precautions.
- Participate in psychiatric drug reviews, admissions/discharges, and technical assistance meetings.
- Evaluate individuals for competency and provide expert testimony as needed.
- Train staff through new hire orientation, annual training, and individual-specific instruction.
- Supervise psychology interns and provide feedback to academic institutions.
- Contribute to the development of facility and departmental policies related to psychological and behavioral care.
- Maintain licensure through ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Psychologist in the state of employment.
- Experience in developmental disabilities or similar settings preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and trauma-informed care practices.
