Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Life Specialist to work for our client. In this role, you will use play, education, preparation, and self-expression activities to help children and families cope effectively with healthcare experiences.

Essential Functions:
  • Meets and assesses patients within 24 hours of admission or consult
  • Formulates and implements a collaborative psychosocial care plan that is consistent with the medical needs and developmental level of each patient
  • Provides an emotionally and physically safe, therapeutic, and healing environment for youth and families, focusing on decreasing stress and increasing knowledge in the healthcare environment through play and psychological preparation and support
  • Participates in child life special events

General Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field, preferred.
  • No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
  • Must obtain Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification through the Child Life Certifying Committee (CLCC) within one year of hire.
