Job Description:

InGenesis is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team in support of our client. In this role, you will provide comprehensive, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients by coordinating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, performing advanced clinical assessments and interventions, administering critical medications and therapies, and ensuring compliance with all clinical standards to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Requirements:

Clinical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in performing and documenting physical exams, health histories, and nursing care plans
  • Experience administering critical care medications and managing ventilated patients
  • Able to recognize and respond rapidly to emergencies (e.g., cardiac/respiratory arrest)
  • Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, arterial blood gas analysis, and operating complex medical equipment (e.g., infusion pumps, CRRT)

Teamwork & Communication:
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Effective communication skills for patient/family education and staff coordination

Additional Responsibilities:
  • May serve on the Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Code Blue resuscitation team
  • May act as a preceptor to new nurses during their onboarding and training

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • At least 1 year must be in a critical care unit of 4 or more beds
  • One year of critical care experience must be within the last 24 months
  • Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required
  • Completion of a critical care training course or an equivalent such as Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) - Preferred but not required
