Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking aNurse Practitionerto work at the Family Health Clinic on Barksdale AFB. In this role, you will provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services including diagnosis and treating patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma.

Job Duties
  • Supervise and provide general screening, medical care, and examinations of patients.
  • Provide immunizations and counsel patients as indicated.
  • Direct and teach other staff providing evidenced-based educational lectures.
  • Participate in in-service training to staff members.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma.
  • Educate patients through annual physicals on positive health behaviors and self-care.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance through formal and individual counseling.
  • Recognize conditions requiring isolation and ensure precautions are used in patient encounters.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
  • Education:Graduate from an academic program accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certification:Current Nurse Practitioner Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate.
  • Experience:Minimum of three (3) years post-grad in Family Medicine.
  • Licensure:Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state of the duty station.
