InGenesis is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to work with our client. In this role, you will deliver high-quality oral health care by assisting chairside, educating patients, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting administrative functions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Prepare and stock exam rooms to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Assist patients before, during, and after treatment to ensure comfort.
- Record treatment details in Electronic Dental Records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.
- Communicate patient needs to the dental team effectively.
Quality & Team Engagement
- Promote a welcoming and professional clinical environment.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in team huddles, meetings, and training sessions.
Administrative & Office Duties
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient records.
- Greet and check in patients.
- Maintain inventory and ensure equipment functionality.
- Perform general office tasks and other duties as assigned.
Specialized Clinical Duties
- Perform radiography and photography under supervision.
- Apply topical agents and fluoride.
- Take impressions and assist with restorative procedures.
- Polish coronal surfaces and place/remove dressings and sutures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
- Valid California RDA License.
- Coronal Polish License.
- Radiographic Safety Certificate.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association approved).
- EPIC experience.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Required to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Must be able to make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Must be able to bend or twist their body for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving.
- Must be able to lift, push, and carry 35 pounds.
- Must be able to see details at a close range.
