InGenesis is currently seeking an UTMB - Nurse Manager to work with our client. In this role, you will be accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care for specific patient care unit(s) on a 24-hour basis. This includes oversight for clinical operations, human resources, financial, and quality management.
Clinical Operations:
- Develops systems for patient care.
- Manages patient flow and communication.
- Ensures cost-effective operations.
- Resolves care and administrative issues.
- Monitors patient care quality.
- Collaborates with other health organizations and educational institutions.
Human Resource Management:
- Leads and supports nursing staff.
- Recruits and retains staff.
- Promotes a safe work environment.
- Mentors and evaluates staff performance.
- Ensures compliance with standards.
Financial Management:
- Prepares and monitors budgets.
- Controls costs and improves productivity.
- Plans to increase revenue.
Quality Management:
- Participates in quality improvement.
- Ensures compliance with regulations.
- Supports patient and nurse satisfaction programs.
Planning and Evaluation:
- Assists in strategic and operational planning.
- Evaluates goal achievements.
- Plans for renovations and relocations.
Marginal or Periodic Functions:
- Coordinates special projects.
- Participates in committees.
Required Education / Experience:
- RN with Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Five (5) years clinical experience, including two (2) years of progressive management experience.
- Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
- Certification in nursing specialty or administration required.
