Night Shift Schedule:
- Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days
- 6:45pm-7:15am; 84 hours every two weeks.
Job Duties
- 60% This position provides professional nursing care for acute, Intermediate and Long Term psychiatric male and female adults (Adaptive Behavior Services).
- 20% Serves as a treatment team facilitator, who formulates and reviews nursing plans of care for all patients in assigned areas and ensures that treatment and therapies specified in the plan are implemented. Evaluates outcome of care provided.Conducts initial intake interview and assessment of clients.
- 10% Supervision is received from a Registered Nurse from a higher classification, physician, or administrative personnel. General supervision is exercised over Licensed Practical Nursing personnel as well as Psychiatric Aides, and Supervisors.This position has direct and indirect input into administrative/clinical policies and procedures.
- 10% Responsible to and confers with assigned supervisor, or in absence of assigned supervisor, with a supervisor of higher classification on all problems and matters of concern relating to nursing staff activities.Responsible to the Director of Nursing. Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Manager in the absence of the RN Supervisor I during his/her regular duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of an active, unencumbered, unrestricted and valid Louisiana Registered Nurse license from the LSBN to practice nursing.
- At least three (3) years of professional nursing experience.
- At least one (1) year of experience must have been in a hospital, clinic, or a 24-hour psychiatric facility setting.
