What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain the data transformations and modeling layer and surface high value data via Business Intelligence tools
- Build and maintain key dashboards and visualization to help Engineering and Product Management Leadership make data driven decisions
- Become a subject-matter expert in Product and Revenue Datasets and help other teams understand and best make use of Product and Revenue Datasets
- Work closely with the Revenue Data Engineering teams and be part of Datadog-wide Analytics Community
Who You Are:
- An Analytics Engineer with 4+ years of experience and you have mastered data modeling and visualization using Business Intelligence tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau or Superset
- Fluent in writing SQL, are able to write, debug and maintain complex queries with no assistance, understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL
- Experienced with data modeling tools such as dbt to clean, transform, test, and deploy analytics-ready datasets
- Experienced with Data Lakes or Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Trino, Redshift, or BigQuery
- Used to working with a thorough review process for code and reports
- A clear, concise communicator that works well with others, and is able to explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways
- Driven to know "why" and you have a natural curiosity and investigative mindset
- Excited to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment and thrive on both autonomy and collaboration
- Familiar with working with APIs and programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or Go
- You have experience using the command line and Git
- You have some experience with Spark, Flink or Beam or similar big data processing frameworks
