Principal Responsibilities:
- Working with stakeholders and assigned members of the Leadership Team to define and develop project documentation including: (business cases, project charters, stakeholder lists, communication matrices, resource lists, milestone identification, project plans/schedules, etc.)
- Partnering with Leadership Team to ensure on-time completion of project tasks/deliverables
- Conducting routine project meetings with stakeholders and appropriate Leadership Team members to identify and document risks/issues, review project progress, and provide follow-up status communications to the relevant stakeholders
- Providing timely overall status updates to stakeholders and management on active projects
- Ensuring the maintenance of a comprehensive list of Major Corporate Projects and their status
- Supporting project management efforts throughout the organization
- Development and leadership of personnel conducting projects within Spellman High Voltage
- Contribute to strategic planning in reference to project management and project selection
- The duties include process design and optimization, change management, data analysis, and initiatives for continuous improvement using the Lean manufacturing principles.
- Must also work together with cross-functional teams to develop process changes and guarantee adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
- Design Lean Value Streams:Design future-state value streams based on principles for achieving end-to-end flow, Kaizen improvement events or brainstorming
- Make Lean Value Streams Flow:Implement the design through customized, formal training and education, followed by implementation Make the Flow Visual:Establish visuals that let each employee see how the flow connects from raw material all the way to the customer.
- Create Standard Work for the Flow:Establish standard work for the flow between the processes to define normal flow for the entire value stream.
- Make the Abnormal Flow Visual:Enable each employee to see when the flow has become abnormal, simply by looking with their eyes, by using different tools such as color coding.
- Create Standard Work for the Abnormal Flow:Work with employees on a menu of choices for how they respond to abnormal flow. This will eliminate the need for management intervention.
- Have Employees in the Flow Improve the Flow:Continuously improve the performance of the flow to meet customer demand, and aggressively work to prevent abnormal flow.
- Lean Culture: Drive and development the culture of Operational Excellence
- REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Business Management or a related field of study
- 5+ years of experience managing complex (cross-site/cross-function) projects
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience working in Business Administration, managing projects preferred
- Working knowledge of basic manufacturing concepts, such as LEAN/6-sigma, a plus
- Must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally
- Able to work with individuals of varying technical abilities
- Experience leading a team in projects and/or continuous improvement.
- 25% Travel
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $141,384 - $179,249. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
