2. JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to maintain inventory control of parts while picking and delivering to production, with a primary focus on quality, safety, and organization.

3. ROLE OF THE DEPARTMENT

Accurate Inventory control of parts delivered on schedule for use in engine re-manufacturing.

4. ORGANIZATIONAL POSITION

This position directly reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor, and works with Receiving, Production, Warranty & Reclaim departments.

5. EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.

6. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail skill set
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of Inventory control procedures
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment


Responsibilities:
  • Pick parts for production orders from pick list.
  • Note inventory shortages & discrepancies on "Red" card on cart.
  • Fill out "pick list discrepancy" spreadsheet for to report inventory shortages to buyers.
  • Review spreadsheet to complete picking of "substitutes" as identified by buyer, that are used to fill inventory shortages found on original pick. Adjust red cards.
  • Fill red card/HOT cart parts after receiving and adjust red cards.
  • Pick pistons/rings for rod line.
  • Label incoming parts with TriStar numbers as required.
  • Pick Head assembly parts for Production Line, and open individual packaging as requested and label the part groups with serial number/engine number.
  • Place parts to be stocked from receiving area into inventory.
  • Monitor radio and deliver "OPTL" parts as requested to production and hot lines. Log required information on list for production order update.
  • Report inventory issues, and/or defective components.
  • Maintain a "Tour Ready" work environment.

7. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Able to stand on cement floors for 8 plus hours
  • Ability to lift engine parts weighing 10 lbs. repeatability and 50 lbs. occasionally.



8. ENVIRONMENT / EQUIPMENT & MACHINERY


This position is in a manufacturing environment, primary focus on the Stockroom area. Regular exposure to noise.
