MAIN OBJECTIVES

This is a position within the Network Operations department providing local desktop, software, and hardware support for the Hauppauge and Valhalla facility (300 employees). This candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Windows-based Desktops and Laptops, Printer support, and the ability to support the Office 365 suite. An ideal candidate would also have some experience with Microsoft Enterprise Technologies including Active Directory, MS Exchange, and Windows Server. Experience with Networking and other peripherals is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Resolving desktop support cases and requests.
  • Providing printer and peripheral support.
  • Providing networking support.
  • Setting up new users in Active Directory and Exchange.
  • Installation and configuration of new hardware.
  • Support in maintaining the IT ticket system, logging, monitoring, and resolving issues
  • Support in maintaining the telephone system and its integration with other IT applications.


EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows-Based Desktops and Laptops using Windows 10.
  • Strong Knowledge of installing and supporting hardware for Desktops and Laptops.
  • Experience supporting the Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Exchange for creating and managing users.
  • Experience supporting peripheral devices such as printers.
  • Experience supporting various software solutions.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills are essential for this support role
  • Ability to work with all levels of the business and work proactively to improve the overall integrity and performance of network support and infrastructure.
  • Can demonstrate a strong sense and application of effective team working.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests simultaneously while keeping users informed of the progress.
  • Good communication skills to provide clear instructions to non-technical users and document support requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • SharePoint and SQL experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • IT skills accumulated with a similar recent position are preferred.
  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as computer science, information technology, or management information systems.


Our good faith estimate of the wage for this role is $20-22. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
