In this context, we are seeking a highly talented, motivated and creative engineer eager to develop, simulate, integrate, and validate embedded systems solutions.

Our Junior Embedded Systems Engineerwill possess the ability to contribute to our team as we architect, simulate, design, verify, deploy and support embedded systems projects integrated into our extensive product portfolio.

Junior Embedded Systems Engineer

What You Will Do:
  • As a member of the Embedded Systems and Controls Team, define, design, develop and deliver control systems integrated into high voltage power supplies to satisfy technical, project, and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to define, design, develop and deploy C/C++ embedded firmware solutions that comply with technical specifications for the control of high voltage power supplies for various applications.
  • Support other engineering functional groups with their unique application digital control design requirements.
  • Actively contribute to multiple projects simultaneously contributing to integrated project teams achieving technical, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Ensure all design activity and practices contribute to a culture of safety, quality, on time delivery and meeting cost targets.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation as required by SHV project development and implementation process as well as by the customer specifications. Ensure compliance with all Spellman and other governing security regulations.
  • Actively participate in design reviews, working sessions, trade studies and product engineering, as necessary.

What You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accreditedinstitution.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an innovative idea from a concept to a product.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and C# programming languages.
  • Demonstrated experience (algorithm development and software implementation and validation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and application of advanced controls, optimization, estimation, or detection algorithms.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with various Control Systems programming packages such as PSIM, MATLAB, HMI, Simulink and others.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, power conversion and analog circuit design.
  • Master's Degree in Control Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.

Our good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $77,800 - $87,400. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
