Essential Job Functions of this Position:
Oversees the entire program in the execution of duties that may include engineering, acquisition and technical support and disseminating information regarding contract status, and reviewing contractual obligations. The program manager will have the authority to specify the roles and responsibilities of the program team members.
Essential Functions
- Implements PMA-281 through a risk and oversight approach for all phases of program activities; identifies risks and problems, proposes solutions, and provides timely and accurate contract deliverables
- Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with PMA281 authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues
- Serves as the liaison between Ausley and program employees
- Briefs senior leadership on program status and milestones regularly
- Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements
- Acts liaison with government agencies on issues of interpretation, preparation, exception and waivers of those policies and procedures
- Executes task definition in accordance with statements of work (SOW) and personnel qualification in accordance with labor category definition and established contract procedures
- Develops and interprets policies in specific program areas, and provides leadership, coordination, and authoritative advice to top officials in the development of cooperative relationships, resulting in the formulation and execution of progressive and comprehensive programs that meet local, State, and Federal goals and objectives
- Directs, administers, and evaluates programs, policies, and procedures in the required program areas
- Leads a group of employees in carrying out a government program, administering and carrying out program requirements and activities, and assures compliance program activities with laws and regulations
- Ensures the effective management of the assigned program areas
- Identifies requirements to support the acquisition, sustainment and supportability of the program
- Participates in financial, programmatic, and technical reviews
- Possesses the ability to travel as required
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related, even technical, discipline
- 10+ years' relevant, preferably management experience
- Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and experience with the program/project management requirements of the DOD
- Knowledge of initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to aircraft systems, hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability
