About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Production planner who operates independently and serves as a critical point of contact for issue resolution, solution implementation, decision-making on allocation, and delivery monitoring. This role may entail managing specific projects or processes and requires knowledge in the field, potentially acting as a Subject Matter Expert in defining strategies within the Materials sector and supporting the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process.
What You Will Do
Although in this role, it's still expected to be accountable for the daily production and delivery of cell or cells, this professional can use solutions and strategies at his/her level to face difficulties or changes to cost estimates to improve performance.
- Be responsible for the daily production and delivery oversight of one or more operational cells or product families, utilizing advanced strategies and solutions to navigate challenges or changes to enhance performance.
- Develop innovative methods for monitoring deliveries, identifying and addressing problems and trends, making critical priority decisions, and optimizing the use of hardware, materials, tooling, and setups.
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving complex issues, including those related to logistics and materials flow, and be tasked with managing complex projects such as New Product Introduction (NPI), App's jobs or site transfers.
- Continually seeking ways to streamline planning processes, reduce costs, improve efficiency, inventory optimization, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Working closely with other departments within the organization, such as procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to supply chain management.
What You Need
- BA / BS Manufacturing/Business/Engineering (similar field) Degree
- At minimum 5 years of relevant Supply Chain Scheduling/Planning experience
- Must have practical experience with structured Materials Resource Planning (MRP) systems
- Experience leading one or more Materials discipline
- Experience in driving results
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience within an Electronics Manufacturing environment
- APICS certification
- Lean experience and certification
- Procurement experience
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $75,000 - $102,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
This position requires on-site presence at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY .
