Overview

Plans, monitors, and manages internal projects from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and people management. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Responsibilities

  • Works on projects of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
  • Manages projects through the application of comprehensive project management concepts that include leading and coordinating groups/resources, organizing and tracking tasks, mitigating risks, engaging stakeholders, creating and monitoring deliverables, and reporting on obstacles to ensure effective project outcomes.
  • Maintains project documentation, including charter, plan, scope statement, communication plan and deployment timeline.
  • Researches, provides, formats, and analyzes data. Observes and analyzes patterns, trends, and correlations to make recommendations on company strategic issues and projects. Applies a wide application of theoretical concepts, principles, and practices to the analytical process.
  • Controls and mitigates project risks by performing the qualitative and quantitative analysis of risks and trigger events, planning risk response, establishing contingency plans, anticipating dependencies affected by ongoing project changes, and recommending ways to mitigate future risks to management.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics (i.e. deliverables, financials, duration, benefits, readiness) and communicating findings to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manages the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with internal partners, third party vendors, and leadership.
  • Self-manages HR projects through the application of comprehensive project management concepts that include leading and coordinating groups, organizing and tracking tasks, mitigating risks, engaging stakeholders, creating deliverables, and reporting on obstacles to ensure effective project outcomes.
  • Plans, organizes, and monitors work done by others in support of projects, including compensation, recruiting, HR operations, HRBP, and external project team members, to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, on target, within budget and in-line with quality standards.
  • Works closely with HR Managers and external partners (i.e. Corporate Business Applications, Finance, Legal, etc.) to meet specific internal customer needs and keep Senior and Executive Management updated on HR project or technology progress, changes, and implementation.
  • Acts as quality control agent to ensure accuracy of data and organization and flow of information within HRIS, HR processes, and reporting.
  • Provides, formats, and analyzes data. Observes and analyzes patterns, trends, and correlations to make recommendations on company strategic issues (i.e. Turnover, Engagement, Re-organizations, etc.) and projects. Applies a wide application of theoretical concepts, principles, and practices to the analytical process.
  • Applies a high level of ingenuity and creativity to identify and define needs for research and business initiatives. Provides consultation and recommendations using subject matter expertise of internal customer requirements and HR data design or analytics to ensure business needs are addressed. Acts as a 3rd level technical support to internal customers for matters related to HR data or HR analytics.
  • Uses specific HR or HRIS knowledge as a Subject Matter Expert (i.e., turnover, policies, HRIS data design, data analysis, etc.) to complete tasks associated with projects.
  • Leads and participates in process improvement projects to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree - Required
    • Master's Degree - Preferred
    • 6 years of experience in project management.
    • HRIS or Project Management Experience.
    • 9 years of experience in More than one discipline in Human Resources.
    • Project Management and/or other relevant discipline (PMP, CAPM, etc.) - Preferred

    Compensation

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $75,600 - $118,800 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
