Responsible for coaching and advising managers on the performance management process. Investigates complex workplace issues resulting from conduct inconsistent with HR policies and procedures in an effort to reduce company-wide risk and contribute to productivity, motivation, and morale, while instilling and maintaining our culture and values. Makes recommendations and partners closely with the People Strategy Partner team to implement proactive employee relations strategies and initiatives to drive employee retention and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provides coaching and advice to managers on the Performance Management process (e.g., ensure consistency in the process, performance documentation, and feedback to employees).
- Manages and investigates complex employee relations issues (for example, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other work-related matters) in a thorough, fact-based manner. Create investigation reports to document findings and make recommendations as appropriate. Partners with Internal Audit to investigate complaints. Consults with Legal as appropriate to ensure risk mitigation, consistent application of recommended actions, and litigation preparation.
- Partners with People Strategy Partners to identify trends in client groups and provide insight. Make recommendations to management on issues impacting the employee work experience, retention, and engagement. This includes applying data analysis to case management.
- Partner with People Strategy Partners on reorganizations/restructuring/building closures.
- Consults with managers on hardship analyses.
- Creates and delivers training to leaders relating to performance management and other HR policies and procedures for learning and development.
- Participates on project teams or lead projects within HR/OD to drive improved business results through increased productivity, employee retention, and engagement of the workforce.
- Partners with other functions within HROD (e.g., Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Employee Support Center, Benefits) to resolve employee issues and/or concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7 years of experience in Human Resources experience, with majority in a capacity addressing employee relations.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $76,300 - $119,900 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
