About The Role
The Director, Global Supply Chain Lean Materials Flow and Supplier Integration will implement Spellman continuous improvement and lean methodologies across the Spellman Global Supply Chain with a focus on leading the annual macro plan, leading SIOP and Planning maturity, kaizen events, tiered accountability audits, visual controls, and leader standard work. In this highly impactful and visible role, you can expect to:
- Support the Director of Supply Chain Strategy to set the vision and goals for the annual macro plan of continuous improvement events from customers, within our factories and with our suppliers.
- Lead lean processes using DMS and influence the people and processes to achieve annual goals and objectives.
- Lead current and future state value stream mapping across end-to-end supply chain and all our sites.
- You will oversee the continuous improvement of lean with the front end of the business processes and with our customers as well as supplier integration strategies of LT reductions, MOQ reductions, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with commodity management.
- You will lead the implementation of cross functional materials boot camps including collaborative training with customers and suppliers.
- You will support reaching inventory turns goals and action plans across all functions and integrate inventory in the Spellman SIOP Process.
- Work directly with external and internal stakeholders to create impactful and lasting improvement.

What You Will Do
- Accept responsibility and be accountable to lead lean material strategies across the Global Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Logistics and SIOP teams driving delivery and performance, focusing on:
- Inventory optimization
- 5S
- Visual Controls and Lean Material Flow
- Tiered Accountability
- Leadership Discipline to Lean
- Warehouse and Factory Space Optimization
- Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) through customer and supplier integration and end to end value stream mapping and collaboration
- Inventory optimization
- Lead lean strategies in material warehousing and control, storage, reconciliation and distribution.
- Partner with sales to align operational road map with global strategy/5-year strategic plan.
- Enable the necessary people, processes, tools/systems, ways of working, metrics, and reporting to achieve a cohesive and high-performing business Supply Chain model.
- Ensure the value chain network, forecasting, SIOP, capabilities and systems will support short and long-term improvements, delivery performance, asset effectiveness, supply flexibility and availability.
- Interact extensively with commercial personnel to accomplish customer satisfaction objectives.
- Ensure the consistent execution of all Standard Operating Procedures throughout Global footprint and ensure supply chain coordination within the Commercial Organization, Quality, Engineering, other Operations functions and our Customers and Suppliers.
What You Need
- Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, etc.) Master's level preferred. MBA or Master's Supply Chain Management is highly desirable.
- Progressive experience within Supply Chain Management, with at minimum 5 years leading teams. Global team leadership required.
- Experience with leading lean material strategies globally with sustainable results and progress on lean maturity road maps and models.
- Competence implementing transformational change within Global Supply Chain organizations.
- History serving as solutions integration point for improving material flow, standardizing workflow, optimization supply chain process (eg: value stream mapping)
- Extraordinary proficiency with data interpretation, manipulation, analysis, and presentation. Absolute comfort with Excel functions (Vlookup, pivot tables, formulas) is necessary.
- Working proficiency with ERP systems such as Glovia (preferred), Rapid Response (kinaxis) SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency- Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $170,000 - $205,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.

This position is available for remote work. Relocation is available to the Hauppauge, NY area as desired. 50% international travel is expected.
