About the Role

We are involved in complex, global and high-profile transactions, strategy, litigation and investigations combining management and board advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver results that enhance enterprise value for our clients. As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for providing finance and analytical skills to client situations in the Activism and M&A Solutions practice. Our practice is focused on advising public companies that are concerned about or the subject of shareholder activism or unsolicited M&A. We also work with certain high-profile investors in this context.

What You'll Do

  • Perform industry and company research utilizing proprietary databases, online tools and publicly available information, managing and assisting in the preparation of analyses, reports and schedules, many of which are client deliverables
  • Detailed reviews of financial statements, public disclosures and underlying accounting records to find variances and anomalies when compared to industry peers
  • Maintain detailed working paper records of reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks
  • Prepare written analyses and other reports to be utilized for private senior management and board discussions, as well as public investor presentations and fight letters

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related discipline MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years preferred with an investment bank or management consulting firm
  • Strong technical skills, with detailed knowledge of financial reporting requirements and SEC documents
  • Proficient use and analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications
  • A strong aptitude for strategic and creative thinking, quantitative and qualitative analysis with good understanding of financial concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
