This role will suit a Sales Manager who thrives in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment.

Working with customers in North and South Island New Zealand your overall responsibility will be to ensure the sustainable sale of our products to our customers. You will play a key role in developing market opportunities through product and technical development, delivering successful sales negotiations and keeping abreast of customer needs and market trends.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Develop new opportunities with existing and prospective Dealers for Topcon's range of Products.
  • Develop a detailed Territory Plan for the assigned territory that includes market size and growth, market segmentation, market trends, geographic attractiveness, product requirements within the territory, opportunity and gap analysis, and competitive threats.
  • In conjunction with each Dealer, schedule and assist in delivering education seminars and demonstrations of Topcon Products to the Dealers customers.
  • Attending and setup of field days.
  • Prepare in conjunction with management, annual and monthly three-month rolling sales forecasts and critically examine performance against targets.
  • Maintain Topcon's Customer Relationship Management system with customer contact information, visits and contact information.
  • Perform other sales duties as required.

Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of Year 12 with a Technical or Trade Qualifications in Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computing or Hydraulics or equivalent knowledge.
  • Professional Sales or Management qualifications highly regarded
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Strong client focus and follow up
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Computer skills in basic Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to perform under pressure within a team environment
  • Sound mathematical ability
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
