We are looking for a Collections Specialist who is driven and passionate about reducing delinquency and providing outstanding service to our customers. The successful candidate will treat all our customers and team members ethically and respectfully, creating relationships built on trust.

Essential Functions:

• Manage a specific portfolio to materially reduce overdue accounts (+60, +90, etc.) over time on both a dollar and percentage basis in alignment with quarterly objectives.
• Ability to meet and exceed established team and individual collections goals and KPIs
• Negotiate with customers to resolve outstanding balances securing mutually beneficial payment arrangements to maximize cash collections
• Escalate accounts for assistance with collections in accordance with the established escalation path
• Reconcile and resolve customer discrepancies caused by missing invoices, billing errors, unapplied and misapplied cash providing customers with copies of invoices and statements upon request
• Understanding of and compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations that regulate the collections industry
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of collections experience in a business-to-business environment, with proven ability to reduce overdue accounts on both a dollar and percentage basis for an assigned portfolio
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to professionally communicate both with internal and external customers
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to negotiate when necessary and handle difficult customer situations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with mid-level Excel skills
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus
