Job Description
The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Physician's Group is hiring a PRN RN for our float pool. The float pool provides coverage to clinics across the metro Kansas City area. Float schedules can be aligned with clinics closet to a candidates preferred location.

You will have the opportunity to float in any or all of the following region(s):

South Region - includes Mission Farms Multispecialty Clinic, Blue Valley Primary Care and the clinics on the SLS Campus.

East Region - includes clinics on/near the SLE campus, Blue Springs Multispecialty Clinic and Independence

Central Region - includes clinics on/near the SLH campus

North Region - includes clinics on/near the SLN campus, Cushing campus clinics in Leavenworth, Parkville, Smithville, Shoal Creek Multispecialty Clinic, Platte City Multispecialty Clinic

The Shift:

Monday through Friday day shift 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No Holidays, No Weekends!

The Work:
  • Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  • Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedules patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, provides advice and recommendations, medication administration and duties as assigned based on clinic need.
  • Delegates tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
  • Subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation and documentation of patient care and testing.
  • Enter orders as directed by a provider.
  • Able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
  • May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant and LPN duties.

PRN staff must work a minimum of 2 shifts within a 4-week period.

Job Requirements
Applicable Experience:
Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various

Associate Degree
