ABOUT THE JOB:

The Director of Fleet Operations will focus on identifying and pursuing opportunities to optimize our branch network operations by more effectively leveraging our portfolio of existing assets. TheDirector of Fleet Operations will work directly with Senior Leadership and cross-functionally to support strategic planning processes by identifying key initiatives that will accelerate operational efficiencies.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Real Estate Optimization - Analyzing our current real estate footprint in a given market or geographical area to right-size the portfolio improve access to our customer base and make efficient infrastructure capital plans that support our growth trajectory.
  • Fleet Optimization - Improving the positioning and balancing of our fleet across the branch network to more efficiently meet customer demand through optimal fleet selection and scope of work.
  • Production Optimization - Defining and standardizing branch capacity across the network. Identifying and executing on localized production strategies (i.e. hub & spoke) that improve the utilization of existing production capacity and increase throughput to better meet customer demand.
  • Value Added Products & Parts/Materials Optimization - Optimizing operations/inventories to ensure alignment with market needs for efficient and effective deployment.
  • Identifies and leads strategic process improvements and implements or supports the required change management for the improvement to be successful. Develop and maintains metrics/methods to track costs and processes to support business goals.
  • Drives key strategic projects to accelerate operational efficiencies while maintaining high product standards through standardization of processes and procedures.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree; preferred MBA or MS degree in areas such as Economics Supply Chain Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in P&L management data analysis and modeling and large cross-functional project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint experience in other data visualization or BI tools a plus

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead through influence and build coalitions among key stakeholders and decision makers towards a common goal
  • Strong business acumen and broad familiarity with various facets of the business operations to help facilitate cross-functional assignments
  • Excellent organizational change-management skills operating in matrix or other ambiguous complex organizational structure
  • Highly motivated independent and intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses leverage the right resources and lead through influence to help chart a path forward.
  • People Management Experience

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Completed successful initiatives in asset management logistics or other network optimization efforts
