About the Role
FTI is seeking an experienced Document Management ("DM") consultant with a proven track record to help grow our Technology segment's Legal Operations offerings and to support our growing pipeline of implementation projects. FTI's Legal Operations consultants advise and assist our clients on content management strategy, solutions, and systems implementations. The Senior Consultant role will work directly with FTI's Legal Operations leaders as well as other industry leading subject matter experts across legal and corporate disciplines to best serve our clients.
What You'll Do
- Identify and recommend process improvements that are informed by knowledge of key document management platforms, such as NetDocuments and iManage.
- Prepare use cases and translate recommendations into system design documents that are consumable by key stakeholders, including legal, IT and other key stakeholders.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of key DM solutions (discover, design, configure, migrate, integrate, test, train, and deploy).
- Configure DM solutions to meet design requirements.
- Lead the design and coordinate implementation of key integrations with other legal and corporate ecosystem solutions such as Matter Management & E-Billing (ELM), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).
- Support project management responsibilities, including managing project plans, resources, risks and issues.
- Learn FTI's multidisciplinary offerings and capabilities and earn trusted advisership by assisting clients with our diverse offerings in other areas of need.
- Partner with team members to succeed both within Legal Operations and at FTI.

What Y ou W ill N eed T o S ucceed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. An advanced degree in a related discipline of study is preferred, but not required.
- 2+ years of experience in Document Management technology consulting required.
- Strong experience in configuring leading DM solutions (e.g., NetDocuments, iManage).
- Experience with the full technology implementation lifecycle, including discovery, design, configuration, migration, integrating, testing and training.
- Relevant certifications for NetDocuments and iManage.
- Support large-scale data migrations from client's legacy content management technology.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proven experience in building business models, distilling insights, and creating recommendations to resolve complex problems.
- Must have the ability to write and quality control work product and deliverables for spelling, grammar, effective flow, and logic.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; particularly with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Travel as required, approximately 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead corporate clients through the selection of a Document Management ("DM") solution.
- Assess client's existing DM technology to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and prepare roadmaps with prioritized recommendations.
- Experience with various tools such as Access / SQL, Excel Macro / VBA, Think-cell, and/or Tableau or other business analytics tools.
- Lead our solutions development team leveraging FTI's testing and controls methodology for more complex customizations.
- Experience in projects related to corporate law department operations and technology.
