The VAL Specialist is responsible for processes supporting to the main process of order planning, execution and processing as well as troubleshooting and product service. Next to this the VAL Specialist is responsible for an accurate execution and processing of all logistics processes related inbound and outbound.
Besides above main tasks the Value Added Logistics Specialist also needs to suggest potential improvements in the in- or outbound processes to the Warehouse Manager.
Within this VAL Specialist functional position we'll expect you to
- Maintain and register kitting (new-old-change)
- Govern Pre-delivery inspection
- Training new hires - update staff on new procedures
- Setting up and maintaining work instructions
- New item registration
- Packing instructions for kitting
- Measurements, weight and packaging validation & registration
- Perform or ensure daily cycle counts as per agreed cycle count schedule in cooperation with the inventory analyst
- Report, validate, discuss and settle discrepancies in stock together with the warehouse manager and the inventory analyst
- Perform administrative tasks related to the above and follow up on customer service requests related to the SalesForce que.
- Coordinating resources between in- and outbound in agreement with the assistant warehouse manager.
- Escalating system issues, process hick-up and inefficiencies to the warehouse manager.
When required to support the team with:
Inbound
- Process the inbound orders (STO & PO) administratively and physically
- Organize the putaway process (right location, right quantity)
Outbound
- Process the outbound orders (delivery/ TO) administratively and physically
- Pick & pack the goods according to instructions
- Using a hand scanner
- Based on the printed TO
- Using the right packaging and packing materials
General
- Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards
- Ensure a clean and hazard free work environment
- Appropriate weight distribution & stacking patterns on
- pallets (outbound) and racking (inbound)
Minimum requirements for this role:
- 3-5 years working experience in a Warehouse or Logistics
- MBO education and /or experience
- Forklift certificate
- Reach truck certificate
- VOG certificate required
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Team player and flexible
- Capable to do physical work
- Works well with details
- Hands on mentality and high adaptivity to changes
- Great in organizing workflow
- Accurate
- MS Office experience and ERP Systems
- Dutch and English verbal and in writing
