Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Chief Operating Officer at M3 Global Research.
Job Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and managing all operational departments for M3GR. The individual is responsible for active intrfacing, collaboration and cooperation with functional department leaders and centralized shared services. This role will report directly to the CEO of Global Market Research and will be a part of the Global Executive Leadership Team.
Duties Include
- Ensure that operational strategies are translated into specific objectives, measurable KPI's, and strategic business plans with contingencies
- Support expansion activities (investments, M&A, partnerships) to enable M3GR to meet growth and market share objectives
- Lead business analytics, operational and financial capabilities within the US and globally, including the establishment of teams to lead forecasting, market research, commercial planning, data strategy, and business development.
- Establish an innovative culture that fosters the development of objective data-driven approaches to business analytics and recommendations.
- Deliver market, customer and product insights that are actionable to marketing and sales leadership team and support the achievement of M3's revenue goals and objectives.
- Maintain long term product and service forecasts to be used for sales targets and financial planning and direct the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on corporate goals and growth objectives.
- Review activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Oversee senior executives, directors, departmental leaders and manage direct department activities that implement the organization's policies.
- Direct corporate operations to achieve budgeted profit results and other financial benchmarking standards. Direct the development and installation of corporation procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow.
- Ensure that all corporate activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing business US and global operations.
- Oversee the operating structure to ensure both efficient and cost-effective operations across the company and evaluate and implement operational and process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MA/MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of management and operations experience with 5+ years in a senior operational leadership role in market research or healthcare industry preferred
- Demonstrated leadership with relevant initiatives: Business process, enterprise business project management/consulting, financial strategic planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in the tools of primary research, secondary data analysis, and forecasting.
- The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively across many teams, prioritize demands from those team, synthesize information received, and generate meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Express thoughts in an organized and articulate manner. Listen very effectively and build a climate of trust and respect with prospective and existing clients and the consulting community.
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills.
- Strong business financial acumen and ability to analyze and prepare financial data, reports, budgets and estimates
- Ability to take a bigger picture strategic perspective, balanced with an eye for details and a willingness to roll sleeves up to get the job done
- Sound understanding of all commercial levers and options for constructing profitable client contractual relationships and terms, with proven ability to negotiate successfully with clients.
