JOB OVERVIEW
Uses knowledge, skills, education, training and/or relevant experience to manage all benefit related plans and carry out day to day hands on administration company wide. Knowledge of ERISA compliance; Health and Welfare benefit administration and ACA; Disability plan guidelines and ADA. Familiar with audit procedures; accounting and finance reporting. Reports to SVP of Global HR.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and/or ensure policy, practices and plan documents are implemented in accordance with compliance rules and company goals.
- Provide representation of corporate goals and practices to vendors, insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Act as bridge for employee appeals; complaints, disputes and resolve amicably.
- Manage cohesive relationship with plan administrators, insurance carriers, vendors on behalf of the employer and in conjunction with employees, to ensure full life cycle of benefits is administered according to plan documents and company policy, including Annual enrollment to Life insurance beneficiary tasks.
- Maintain directory of documents for audits and historic record to meet compliance rules. Documents range from 401k Committee - 5500 tax filing - audit - distribution of Summary Annual Report.
- Ensure timely management of billing and invoices and reconciliation and work closely with A/P team. Resolve discrepancies.
- Evaluate and compare existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Plans, develops, and/or participates in area and industry surveys. Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
- Assist in developing specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans to ensure plans fit well with employee attraction and retention along with budget constraints.
- Maintain company's competitive position in labor market and by obtaining benchmark data from consultants.
- Recommend new or modified plans. Develop census data and solicits insurance companies for quotations. Evaluate quotations and makes recommendations to management. Develop company cost information for new plans and makes recommendations concerning sharing of cost between employer and employee.
- Install new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees.
- Arrange annual or adhoc Live Benefits sessions hosted by the myriad of benefit vendors or consultants. Ensure presentations and recordings of sessions available.
- Revise and reissues all communications material on benefits. Advise and counsel management and employees on existing benefits.
- Prepare and executes, with legal consultation, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies. Instructs insurance carriers, trustees, and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefit program. Ensure prompt and accurate compliance.
- Maintain currency in Benefits and Human Resources legislation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- A bachelor's degree and five years of experience in Benefits Administration Management, OR
- Ten years in Benefits Administration Management

- Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by management.
Licenses/Certifications:
- PHR, CEBS preferred

Knowledge of:
- Group insurance and risk management principles and strategies.
- Principles, practices and procedures of benefits administration.
- Various retirement plan approaches including 401(k) and non-qualified plans.
- Microsoft Office
SKILLS
- Maintaining records and preparing reports, documents and insurance filings.
- Designing insurance related materials for internal and external customers.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets and databases.
