Job Title: Senior Test Developer, Assessment Services

Reports to: Program Manager, Assessment Services
Summary
The Senior Test Developer is a key member of the team within Assessment Services. This position is responsible for conducting test development activities and where necessary, help test developers' trouble-shoot and identify solutions for multiple clients that have retained Prometric's services in test development. The Senior Test Developer both conducts Test development activities and supports the Test Developers ensuring that all test development activities are implemented in a manner that adheres to industry standards. Consequently, the Senior Test Developer must possess knowledge of test development best practices and Prometric products and be able to apply this knowledge to address client needs.
Specifically, the Senior Test Developer is responsible for supporting the test development, content development, and assessment development teams. The Senior Test Developer is expected to support test form assembly, maintain the item bank, prepare materials for workshops, and organize exam content for test production. The Senior Test Developer will also be called upon to facilitate in-person and virtual meetings with client representatives and/or subject matter experts (SMEs).
In addition, the Senior Test Developer is expected to work collaboratively, both in person and virtually, with other members within Assessment Services, Client Success, and Business Development and Sales teams in scheduling work and gathering requirements. The Senior Test Developer will conduct test development workshops as necessary, write project plans and technical reports and provide in-depth training and guidance on Assessment Services products to Prometric staff to support the implementation of services
Main Duties
- Become proficient on Prometric's internal, proprietary programs; follow established procedures and guidelines, and comply with item security practices
- Blueprint test forms according to specific content and psychometric criteria
- Ensure that all tasks are completed according to established schedules, adhering to competing absolute deadlines in a cost-effective manner
- Perform basic research to support the preparation of workshop materials
- Update and manage items in the item bank to ensure all item data is current
- Ensure that the quality of work products is in accordance with company and industry standards
- Develop Facilitation skills for in person and web-based meetings for various client-based stakeholders, as needed
- Coordinate, prioritize, and complete project activities within contractual timelines
- Develop planning documents and technical reports for clients
- Lead facilitation for in-person and web-based meetings for various client-based stakeholders, as needed
- Represent Assessment Services in client meetings and in internal departmental and cross-functional meetings
- Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, and Client Success teams in proposal development and in-person sales meetings
- Train other Prometric staff members on Assessment Services products, catered to the audience and their involvement in those products
- Work collaboratively with clients to establish short- and long-term goals and to develop a test development activity schedule
- Other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in education, measurement, or related field or equivalent in terms of work experience
- Three years of previous experience in the test development industry in education or professional certification/licensure
- Knowledge of measurement concepts
- Previous experience conducting test development workshops as in-person meetings and/or by web/teleconferences
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; able to write detailed reports documenting the test development process
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; proven dependability and high regard for security
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure and meet exacting deadlines
- Ability to meet quality, service, and productivity metrics
