The Information Technology Group (ITG) is a collection of people, processes and technology investments that are designed to achieve the business goals of FTI Consulting. Incumbent acts as a senior technical support advisor to FTI Consulting staff in all practice areas on all information technology issues and provides state-of-the-art technical solutions in support of computers and local area networks. May also provide technical support to FTI Consulting clients on billable engagements. Assumes leadership and ownership role on providing applications and systems support, Cisco IP Telephony, application and network systems administration and seeks to document user requirements of FTI staff in the pursuit of providing solutions to their technical needs. Provides detailed knowledge of computer software and hardware, network operating systems, advanced PC applications, Internet services, multi-media and messaging software used in FTI. It is expected that this incumbent will provide a leadership role for all business and technology related issues at the local office level and be responsible for technical support and leadership required for technical support colleagues. Ability to work in a team environment is required.
What You'll Do
- Works as a senior technology support advocate for all FTI Consulting staff in all practice areas. Acts as the senior liaison between office and systems integrators and/or vendors when appropriate
- Provide leadership within the IT group in the definition, documentation and implementation of appropriate processes and procedures to continuously improve the technology support within FTI Consulting
- Provide leadership in the development and documentation for continuous improvements in the areas of desktop services , application and network administration and logistical aspects of providing the client care to all staff in FTI Consulting
- Configures and supports all ITG approved wireless devices
- Maintains thorough understanding of collaboration equipment installed in the office and can provide audio and video calling assistance for staff
- Provide leadership in maintaining in-depth experience with application software installation and use. Remains knowledgeable of, and experienced with, using complex operating systems on workstations and servers, local networks, , wide area networks, LAN/WAN connectivity, and data communications protocols. Remains competent and has a thorough understanding of Desktop and Laptop hardware components and ITG supported software, including messaging clients, web browsers and Internet, anti-virus software, office productivity applications, and time entry systems

Basic Qualifications
- Must have a B.S. college degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 or more technical certification credentials like Network+ or Security+.
- Must have ITIL Foundations certification.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a mid to large enterprise company.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Work experience with Windows Servers, AD, Group Policy, O365 and Windows 10 operating systems.
- Experience providing on-call support via voice and remote access tools.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL Practitioner certification.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Excellent knowledge of current leading-edge PC workstations hardware and software including networking and communications interfaces and relationships.
- Ability to flex working hours as required to meet business needs.
- Availability to travel with little notice.
- Ability to grasp fundamentals quickly and instruct others in their use.
- Competent to work on fairly complex computer problems independently.
- Experience with administration and use of IP Telephony systems (Cisco preferred).
- Experience with Smartphone configuration and advance support.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated.
- Role modeling and ability to work in a team.
- Adaptable to changing priorities.
