JOB OVERVIEW
Prometric is looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our Accounting team. We are a goal-oriented team that works hard and enjoys being committed to the financial performance of Prometric. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, revenue accounting, general ledger activity, including accounting policies, and the global financial audit. This position will be deeply involved in the reporting process, including activities within the financial close process, audit support functions, and balance sheet reviews. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounting / Reporting - lead team managing Monthly / Quarterly / Annual closing process and global consolidation / reporting of both IFRS and US GAAP / Management Accounts within the Controllership function
- Coordination and oversight of Accounting process, driving performance improvements in quality, accuracy and timeliness of close each period
- Technical Accounting - lead responsibility for implementation and reporting of US GAAP accounting standards, and oversight of the global consolidation for annual financial statement audit by Ernst & Young
- Global / Statutory Audits - partner with Director, Finance-Asia-Pac, Controller-Japan, Controller-India, to manage global audit and support the local teams in required statutory audits (e.g., Ireland, Malaysia, India, etc.); lead Accounting team member responsible for managing engagement/fees associated with EY global audit (e.g., year-end closing calendar, audit planning/execution timeline, final report delivery in line with targets specified by CFO / Audit Committee requirements)
- Oversight of Revenue Recognition and implementation of business / operational / legal requirements under ASC 606 Revenue Recognition as it impacts the US GAAP financial statements and global audit; develop managers in expanded roles to scale support for the Commercial organization through Deal Desk (or equivalent pre-close / Solution Design process)
- Provide support/maintenance of current Revenue/Billing platform (PeopleSoft) and leadership within the ERP project team for revenue recognition
- Lead team responsible for implementation of new US GAAP standard accounting of Leases (ASC 842) - work with Accounting team + consultants (RSM, Cushman/CoStar) to implement new standard and all requisite Accounting memos / documentation / support to go-live Oct 1, 2022 (FYSep'23 requirement)
- Netsuite ERP coordination & implementation - lead responsibility for Accounting project team engaged in Netsuite ERP implementation project (go-live targeted during Q4 FYSep'22) - liaise with IT / Technology and third party vendors (Netsuite, Techfino, Zone, Sogeti) to insure all requirements definitions are achieved and system launches successfully as Prometric's new global accounting and financial reporting platform
- coordination of accounting practices for all treasury and tax activity, as well as coordination of activity related to cash management (i.e. A/R activity, cashflow forecasting, etc.)
- Acquisition Integration - liaise with Accounting staff at each business to plan and execute full integration of legacy acquisitions' systems and processes, together with full onboarding in Netsuite ERP applications; lead Accounting review of future acquisitions for US GAAP accounting and valuation requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- BS in Accounting from a four-year college or university.

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):CPA required
EXPERIENCE
- Certified Public Accountant
- 5 - 10 years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational companies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
SKILLS
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Rules and Regulations
- Ability to perform independent research and prepare analyses of the impact of accounting and regulatory pronouncements on the company's financial statements and accounting and disclosure practices.
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with senior management and influence decision making
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion.
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel, from staff to executive management
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.

- Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software and MS Office.
- High level of efficiency and accuracy.

- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
