Radar Engineer

Ausley Associates is pleased to recruit for the newest member of our premier team; Radar Engineer. This position supports the Triton UAS Radar Development and Integration Team, assigned to the PMA-262 Program Office at the Naval Air Systems Command, in Patuxent River, MD.

Essential Job Functions of this Position:

The primary responsibility will be for the technical management and programmatic support of radar development, design, analysis, test and evaluation, production and in-service support for modifications to the assigned aircraft program. The incumbent is responsible for the preparation and modification of systems procurement documentation (including SOWs, Acquisition Plans etc.), specifications, drawings and technical documentation for new, replacement or modified equipment. He/she will assist the Mission Systems IPT and/or Class Desk in the design modification, acquisition, integration, validation and final approval of the equipment. Additional responsibilities include the review of DMSMS requirements and design upgrades, review of and recommendations for program protection, review of software/hardware design compatibility and detailed reviews of Technical Evaluations/CDRLs.

The selected candidate will also assist the Class Desk with the review and analysis of Engineering Investigations and other field reports relating to deficiencies or problems encountered with cited sensors and equipment or software, NATOPS and component level integration issues.

Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or Information Technology and ten (10) years of general experience in the deployment, planning, testing and evaluation of aircraft systems is required. Eight (8) years of the total experience should be related to computers, electronics, production or manufacturing.

Demonstrated experience in two (2) of the following areas are required:
  • Manufacturing engineering, producibility, material characterization, structural analysis, reliability
  • Engineering, systems engineering, software development, software life cycle support, avionics
  • Development, mission system integration, configuration management, specification development, environmental impact analysis, weapon system performance, or data protection planning. Acquisition based experience desired.

Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance to be considered for the position.
