Senior Financial Analyst II- Global Real Estate

About the Role

Our Real Estate team is responsible for real estate transactions, project management and delivery associated with FTI Consulting's real estate portfolio across our global network. This portfolio comprises approximately 100 direct leases representing almost 1.2 million square feet.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global Real Estate Finance team. The successful candidate will act as a Finance Business Partner to the Real Estate EMEA and APAC region and will report directly to the Director of GRE Finance.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare financial analysis and business cases in support of regional real estate renewal and relocation projects, aligning with assigned transaction managers and regional Finance leads as required
  • Prepare and coordinate annual Regional Real Estate budget and quarterly forecast production (including headcount)
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly regional management reporting
  • Assist with the analysis of regional operating results and development of appropriate commentary for different audiences
  • Provide annual and quarterly Capital expenditure estimates and, in collaboration with Transaction managers and finance, prepare regional actual capital expenditure and variance analysis
  • Manage regional real estate cost recovery and allocation process; responsible for monthly reconciliation, timely processing, variance discrepancies/analysis and coding verification/updates
  • Assist with the development and coordination of appropriate presentation materials for regional and senior management
  • Ensure compliance and standardisation with Global RE, company policies and procedures
  • Serve as a liaison, point of contact and finance expert within the EMEA team and ensure the wider GRE team understand the importance of certain deliverables and therefore accuracy, proper timing, and accountability
  • Provide additional support relating to proper coding verifications/updates as required

Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or relevant experience
  • 5+ years total finance and accounting experience
  • Professional experience within finance and accounting
  • Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail is critical. Proactive attention to daily tasks, organization, and cleanliness
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and effectively manage one's time
  • Must be dependable and able to take full responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure all assignments are completed in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience of other specialised tools (ThinkCell, Tableau, etc.) would be beneficial
  • Advanced user of other financial systems in a professional services organisation - TM1, Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, database or other query or report writing tools
  • Experienced in the creation and automation of management reports
  • Experienced in collection and consolidation of variance, trend and industry financial analysis
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Exposure to US GAAP accounting and external reporting process (10K's)
  • Ability to assist with development of senior management presentations
  • Travel required to FTI office(s).
