The Manager, Compensation will design and provide ongoing support of compensation pay strategies for our non-executive employee population. This role will ensure all programs align with business objectives and are effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining key talent. Additionally, the position will play a key role in the compensation planning process and system at FTI; project management, advising on system enhancements to ensure alignment with FTI philosophies and methods, reporting, and owning assigned responsibilities related to the overall year-end process.
The role will report to the Director, Compensation but will work collaboratively with FTI's business leaders, HR and Finance leads to understand the business issues and develop effective solutions. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with project management, building compensation models and advising on compensation in multiple countries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and manage market data-based compensation models and processes in partnership with HR and business leaders.
- Responsible for the project management of the year-end compensation planning process and system for both executive and non-executive employees; advising on matters related to the compensation system, performing assigned responsibilities, and coordinating the work of other compensation team members to ensure a smooth, accurate, and timely process
- Continually evaluate compensation program structure and approach to ensure ongoing market competitiveness and alignment with business unit and organization compensation philosophy
- Manage large data sets to provide modeling, market alignment insight, and financial implications to support business decisions
- Provide analytical expertise and support on non-executive compensation matters. Work directly with senior leaders to influence how they look at non-executive compensation and ensure compensation strategies are aligned with business goals.
- Evaluate existing practices and identify opportunities to build efficiencies in reporting/analytics of the Compensation group.
- Leverage compensation survey data to advise business on market changes and recommend adjustments to compensation structures accordingly
- Provide compensation expertise to HR team and business leaders to consult on and resolve compensation matters during the annual base salary increase and bonus review process
- Ensure strong governance and compliance of all compensation programs.
- Viewed as an expert on compensation matters and market best practices. Introduce innovative solutions to enhance internal programs as necessary.
- Perform various ad-hoc compensation analyses as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of related experience in Compensation Administration
- Bachelor's Degree required, particularly in a quantitative or business-related field
Requirements and General Skills:
- Expert level of Excel skills
- Experience with scenario modeling and other analysis desired
- Experience providing compensation subject matter expertise to HR and business leaders
- PowerPoint skills a plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and personal integrity
- Strong attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity and a personal commitment to continuously developing strong business, industry and client acumen
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and SAP SuccessFactors a plus
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
