Job Background:
The Systems Engineering Department (AIR-4.1) requires systems specialty engineering and technical efforts to be performed in the following specialty engineering functional areas: Air/Ship Integration, Systems Safety, Mass Properties, Survivability, Manufacturing & Quality, Air Platform Stores Integration, Metrology and Systems Security Engineering. These efforts are focused across a broad business base comprised of Integrated Program Teams (IPT's), Externally Directed Teams (EDT's) and Enterprise Teams (ET's), which support all Naval Air Programs.
The mission of AIR-4.1 is to apply systems engineering knowledge and skills to provide support to Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and Program Manager, Air (PMAs) by providing assessments of Aircraft, Weapon and Integrated Systems' technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and life cycle of a program.
Essential Job Functions of this Position:
The Anti-Tamper Systems Engineer will utilize programmatic or technical knowledge to identify, formulate, design and/or test practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern complex systems; and to employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
Qualifications - Education and Relevant Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physicals or a related scientific discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant experience related to Systems Engineering is required.
Experience in providing Anti-Tamper (AT) engineering support and technical expertise in the assessment of systems, subsystems and technologies of various Systems Engineering Competency projects is highly valued for this position. These AT functions include Critical Program Information (CPI) identification, AT requirements development, proposal of AT architectures, Attack Tree analysis, AT solution trade studies, vulnerability risk analysis, develop and manage engineering design techniques necessary to assess and ensure consistent implementation of AT solutions throughout the life cycle of a program.
An active Secret security clearance is required.
