About the Role

We are building a Risk & Compliance capability in FTI Technology to further expand our premier data and risk consultancy. Our focus is on supporting our clients and solving their complex regulatory and operational risk challenges through more sophisticated data management and analysis. As such, we are rapidly enhancing our risk and compliance capabilities and looking for a strategically minded Senior Director to make an impact from day one.

As a Risk Management Technology Expert you will be engaged in developing risk scoring with clients, developing visuals and running investigatory workflows for compliance using company data for Fortune 500/Global multi-national buyers. You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting regulatory and technology experience, helping our clients solve their compliance issues.

  • Is technically-minded and data-driven- all our work requires thinking in a logical, organized way about processes and sets of data, specifically leveraging analytics and visuals to develop appropriate risk scoring matrices for each client and risk type to measure effectiveness of compliance programs.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and manage implementation of risk management solutions including risk scoring across multiple data inputs and risk types and related investigative workflows to measure effectiveness of compliance programs and detect potential instances of non-compliance.
  • Execute assessments of clients' compliance program maturity and risk profile including management of process, resources, timelines and budget to meet clients' needs.
  • Develop an understanding of clients' unique business and compliance capabilities and needs including existing technology stack, sources of relevant operational data, and internal audit and compliance workflows to support compliance assessments and risk management solutions.
  • Work across entire Risk & Compliance capability to empower compliance functions to support and enhance business operations and reporting to enhance efficiency / support bottom line growth / meeting reporting requirements.
  • Work across entire data and risk consultancy to continue to shape the Risk & Compliance offering, develop novel technical solutions to regulatory and operational risk challenges, and become a trusted advisor for clients.
  • Develop/oversee delivery of work product, including guidance, analyses and reports.
  • Support and engage in go-to-market activities including thought leadership, presentations and visual artifacts to accelerate our offering's recognition in the market.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in regulatory and operational risk.
  • Experience working in consulting and closely with clients.
  • Strong understanding of certain regulatory requirements and compliance needs.
  • Expertise in running risk analytics across key risk areas (i.e. anti-corruption, anti-fraud, antitrust)
  • Experience in scoping and designing integrated solutions with corporate officers and compliance functions.
  • This role requires travel to clients and FTI office.

Preferred Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Windows and related software, such as Microsoft Power Point.
  • Outstanding client service in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure.
  • Understanding of how to build risk management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience working with enabling technologies and software.
  • Ability to work with companies' compliance programs and handle gap assessments, and extracting data for further analyses.
  • Relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Project management and organization skills.
  • Leadership and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
