Summary

Topcon is looking for a Jr. Salesforce Admin to partner with our current Salesforce Administrator to manage our global instance of Salesforce. Work will focus on operations tasks (onboarding/offboarding, maintenance and configuration of Salesforce objects, support of Salesforce integrations, etc.) Previous Salesforce Admin experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, fields, assignment rules, validation rules, page layouts, list views, workflows, permission sets, profiles and roles.
  • Assist in making any needed changes for enhancements and defects; perform unit testing on new system implementations and configurations and assist in the on-boarding and training of new Salesforce.com users.
  • Abide by security and standards best-practices when developing, reviewing, and delivering features.
  • Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve problems reported by users and provide documentation of issues/root cause/solution on all tickets
  • Help translate business, and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or User Stories.
  • Serve as a primary interface between end users and the IT department; assist in user onboarding/offboarding, training, manage user ticket requests, effectively communicate ticket status, release schedules and impact to the user community.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and continue education within the Salesforce platform and apps used within the organization.


Qualifications
  • Associates/Bachelors degree in a technical field highly desired.
  • Experience as a Salesforce Administrator highly desired.
  • Solid knowledge of IT processes and procedures relating to security, release management, requirements generation, testing and communication.
  • Ability to quickly come up to speed on new environments, business processes, ticket management systems and team member responsibilities.
  • Embodied characteristics include attention to detail, proficient problem solving and the ability to multitask.
  • Self-motivation and an inherent sense of urgency is critical.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with an attention to detail.
  • Possess an ability to quickly establish a rapport with all levels of internal staff, both within IT and the end user community. Ability to fit into the IT team as a positive contributor.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Exercises exceptional judgment in selecting implementation methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
  • Ability to be able to integrate into and support global teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and collaborate laterally and upwards.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
