The Position

Quench is currently seeking a Supply Chain Planning manager who will responsible for demand, supply, and inventory planning. This will be done in close collaboration with key stakeholders in Sales, Service, Supply Chain and Finance.

This person will play a critical role in analyzing the Supply Chain and developing and executing our demand plan and supply plan to create operating leverage across the business. This person also is responsible for development and maintenance of the analytical tools that allow us to optimize the logistics of product movement and storage. The Manager will also be involved in reporting, budgeting, variance investigation, and other ad hoc analyses.

Essential Functions

Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Demand planning
    • Demand Aggregation of common items across all corporate products.
    • Forecast Modeling - applying the correct and appropriate models to the various items and sales channels.
    • Work directly with sales to obtain forecasts
    • Improve Quench DRP modeling tool to address current business needs
  • Supply planning and execution
    • Inventory Management - Ensure supplier shipments align with inventory turns goals.
    • Supplier Capacity Management - Insure short-term and long-term sustainability of suppliers through growth and downturns in demand.
    • Supplier production prioritization as necessary
    • Product (PLM) transition management of inventory at suppliers.
    • Provide buyer support and analysis of re-directing orders as required.
    • Focus on improving turns and OTIF through balancing of demand and supplier MOQ's.
    • Support and actively engage in initiatives to promote better inventory optimization, such as Supplier portals and VMI initiatives
    • Freight optimization
  • Reporting and analysis
    • Improving weekly and monthly statistical reports and analyses
    • Inventory, On Time delivery, other critical KPI's
  • Product retirement strategies
    • Work in concert with product management, sales, supply chain to optimize End of Life programs
  • Budgeting
    • Inventory, rental capex, freight on yearly basis with quarterly updates to forecast

Qualifications
  • Three or more years' experience as a demand and/or supply planner.
  • Strong experience with utilization of DRP/MRP systems.
  • Prove experience developing custom replenishment and forecast models.
  • Proven expertise with Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree (Math, science, engineering or technically related field preferred)
  • CPIM preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills .
