The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead Topcon efforts to grow and refresh the company's global talent pool.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of Topcon's Talent Acquisition strategy in support of corporate goals/strategies and in alignment with our corporate values.
- Compiles, analyzes and utilizes Topcon data relating to recruiting to identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
- Ensures timely and accurate communication of employment related metrics to identify issues and trends, from ensuring accurate data entry to data analysis. Advises management on trends and recommended strategies.
- Provides expert guidance, facilitation and collaboration for hiring managers to recruit, identify, select, onboard, and retain highly skilled and diverse candidates.
- Leads the design and delivery of employment branding and innovative recruiting campaign activities that produce awareness and draw high quality candidates to Topcon.
- Responsible for all external recruiting relationships and activities.
- Partners with HR peers in all aspect of human capital work related to employment, including the relevant compensation activities of internal equity and market analysis, succession planning and high-potential development, workforce talent assessment and org development, and performance management.
- Partners with hiring managers and senior leaders to play a key role in the design, implementation and management of workforce planning processes.
- Provides leadership and direction for contingent workforce management (temporary staffing, contractors, consultants), external vendor partnerships, college relations/recruitment, intern programs, immigration, I-9 compliance, employment advertising, background/reference verification and all other employment related functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and implement a Talent Acquisition vision, strategy and action plan/road map to produce measurable results.
- Strength in reporting metrics/data analytics.
- Ability to influence effectively with candidates as well as all levels of the organization. Advanced level facilitation skills, particularly with executive level leaders.
- Demonstrated success with state-of-the-art recruiting/employment branding practices.
- Superior oral/written and presentation skills.
- Recruiting experience in high volume, growth oriented environments to include experience acting in a lead role within a Staffing function
- Proven track record of sourcing and landing superior talent, including experience in successfully managing searches for technical and senior level positions
- Experience with direct sourcing and recruiting passive candidates
- Deep understanding of HR, business and marketplace issues that impact recruiting
- In-depth knowledge of external talent landscape and current recruiting techniques.
- Experience with ATS implementation and use.
