ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Managing Director will provide analytic support, team leadership and advisory services in the context of fast-moving litigation and alternate dispute resolution matters across a wide range of industries. The group provides analytical and strategic support to expert testifiers, counsel and clients in litigation and other disputes in antitrust, intellectual property, and other areas. Qualified candidates must possess an advanced degree, preferably PhD, in Economics, Statistics or a related quantitative field, strong leadership skills, data management and modeling skills and familiarity with diverse analytical methodologies with applications to litigation support. Testimony experience is valued. Demonstrated strong writing skills are required. Strong candidates will be forward-thinking and will be comfortable and accountable in leading multiple client engagements simultaneously.

Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build and lead teams
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Significant and sustained project management experience that includes interacting with and presenting to senior litigators, senior-level executives or government officials.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills, including economic and econometric modeling
  • Proven track record in developing and overseeing analytic projects, including providing guidance on research design and methodology
  • Solid communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to clients and staff within and outside of the firm
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients across functions
  • A positive, professional, and solutions-oriented attitude
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills with the ability to apply knowledge outside of one's immediate functional area
  • Extensive background in applied econometrics
  • Senior leadership experience
  • Extensive antitrust experience

Education And Experience Requirements

  • At least 10-15 years of relevant full-time work experience
  • Experience with quantitative analysis (e.g., econometric modeling or forecasting, micro-simulation models, actuarial analysis)
  • Experience overseeing and supervising work of staff members
  • Experience in managing multiple deadlines
  • Excellent client engagement and project management skills
  • PhD in Econometrics or other comparable credentials
