The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This position provides project management support for the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) program within in the Biospecimen Research Group (BRG). Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Work as part of a dynamic team to provide general project management support
  • Assist in the planning and execution of project management tasks supporting the program including tracking deliverables, updating schedule and costs
  • Work closely with the Project Director to coordinate program support, logistical and training activities
  • Work collaboratively to support all Technical Project Managers (TPM) and the Clinical Data Manager (CDM)
  • Work closely with the CPTAC informatics team on requirements gathering and support several quality management activities including query tracking and follow up activities
  • Perform clinical data cleaning, tracking and submission activities to portals as needed
  • Perform controlled document management activities customized to the project needs
  • Support financial management to include budget management, resource estimates, forecasts, and reporting
  • Provide proactive communication about project and staff to all relevant stakeholders
  • Follow established procedures and suggest updates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of procedures
  • Be disciplined in generating necessary reports and tracking tasks and issues
  • Be able to work independently

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
  • Two (2) years relevant experience
  • Project management experience in a scientific or technical environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and Microsoft office tools
  • Knowledge of program management best practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
