About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist provides HR support to the Technology-Acuity Segment as a member of the HR team. The role will be exposed to all aspects of Human Resources in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Execute employment lifecycle processes (onboarding, benefits eligibility, offboarding, rehires, transfers); maintain integrity of HRIS, physical employee personnel files, shared HR electronic records, and benefit provider websites
  • Maintenance and administration of the background check process including reviewing and approving background results in accordance with FTI standards, forwarding questionable background results to HR Manager, and reporting approval and denial codes to Sterling
  • Key resource for conducting HR outreach/check-ins with employees to gauge talent development progress around key initiatives such as coaching and feedback, exit interviews and new hire assimilation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Point of triage for employee questions; handles specific questions while referring transactional/process-based questions and transactions to the GHRSC.
  • Liaise with external HR Vendors to maintain business relationship; establish workflows and processes (Sterling, WageWorks, ADP); reconcile vendor invoices for accuracy; perform cost benefit analysis; identify cost savings
  • Work with management to advise review managers on performance management, employee relations, and involuntary terminations in accordance with company policies and legislative developments
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Respond to employee requests in a timely manner and escalate inquiries to HR Manager, as needed
  • Provides general HR business partner support to the Acuity Operations team.
  • Contribute to team effort by driving various human resources projects as needed or assigned.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is preferred, however, relevant, and applicable work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting human resources and/or operations
  • COVID Vaccine required*

  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems
    Ability to work with confidential materials and maintain complete discretion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to provide accurate and efficient service under the pressure of constant deadlines
  • Skilled in organizing tasks and establishing priorities
  • Ability to gather data, consistently track metrics, and prepare reports
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Technical proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Work effectively as part of a team yet be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
