Operations OEM Program Manager will be front facing and supporting OEM customers and engage with an experienced cross disciplinary team, externally and internally, on different phases of projects from conceiving, designing, production, and end-of-life.
Candidate is responsible for the success of OEM programs in accordance to customer required document to delivery business value on time and within budget and will also be responsible for supporting the ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual operating cadence of the business including forecast and KPI reviews (e.g. on time delivery) and driving the rhythm of the business by supporting the annual strategic planning process and monthly management reviews.
The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, be a very effective written and oral communicator and have strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills, and the ability to work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape deliverables. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business challenges, with the ability to work across organizational boundaries. A deep sense of ownership, accountability, and drive is a must. You should be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving.
Candidate must be able to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, manage escalations, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus constraints. You should be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity and invent and simplify processes. Maturity, strong judgment, and the ability to influence are all essential to success in this role.
New project/ product phase: understand and establish engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and business scope of new products. Establish working structure with cross functional team and identify resources and owners, while understanding business deliverables and schedules. Lead and coordinate customers on-site audits.
Production phase: forecast/demand vs. material review, KPI (e.g. on-time delivery) review, life cycle management. Customer's conduit for demand planning, quality, or other operations related topics. Product end-of-life management, which includes customer communication and last-time-buy or product transition planning.
Strategic planning and management reviews, which includes monthly and annual revenue and projects report.
Bachelor's degree in EE, ME, IE or a supply chain/ operations discipline. 5-7 years of experience in supply chain. 5-7 years of experience managing cross functional projects and programs with tight deadlines. Experience with electromechanical manufacturing and lean manufacturing
Ability to utilize project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit proficiency in core project management disciplines. Experience with MRP system (e.g. SAP) and PLM tools (e.g. ARENA). Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, project. Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives. Demonstrated ability in navigating and simplifying complex sales operations processes. Experience and knowledge on quality requirement standards (e.g. APQP, PPAP)
