Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) is the global leader in developing and manufacturing precision positioning equipment. We do it by combining extremely precise measurement equipment with machines to automate tasks (Machine Control). That's where we need you.

What you will do:

In this highly impactful and visible role, you will spearhead our efforts to maintain and expand relationships for the Positioning Solutions Business Unit (PSBU) with regional, national and global customers and business entities. You will seek out new customers within the Americas/Oceania territory through multiple channels. Your primary focus is account/dealer strategy, interfaces with C-suite level management, and directing your team to desired sales results and business development goals.

How you will do it:
  • Build relationships with customers to anticipate their needs and penetrate accounts.
  • Lead and direct operational activities, program structure, and program priorities for Americas and Oceania territories.
  • Collaborate with Topcon Executives on company initiatives and general direction.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with C Level management.
  • Ensure accountability and goals for direct reports.
  • Evaluate regional and global business environments for market opportunities, develop winning strategies, execute, and deliver results.
  • Drive product adoption and growth through Strategic Partners.


What you need:
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years experience in the construction industry. Sales and Marketing experience preferred
  • Management experience directing a team in a highly-matrixed job environment. Reports in Americas/Oceania a plus
  • Executive presence, ability to persuade stakeholders at any level through influence
  • Understanding of Machine Control technologies for construction applications
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow a sales territory
  • Strong aptitude with analytical tools
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks, and able to articulate thorough cost/benefit analysis for decisions
  • Comfortable with frequent travel, domestically and internationally
