The success of a trial often depends on presenting complex material in a clear, concise and persuasive manner. The FTI Trial Services team includes communications consulting experts who specialize in a wide range of visual communications consulting and graphics development, as well as presentation of demonstratives in the courtroom. Our consultants select the most appropriate presentation formats to maximize impact and memorability, and then create persuasive graphic presentations that support, clarify and emphasize the key themes of a case.
What You'll Do
- Consulting and management of the entire technological process from pre-trial drafting of support plan through execution in the courtroom. Provide superior, industry-leading client service
- Work in partnership with Business Developers to attend introductory and pitch meetings with prospective clients
- Work in close partnership with graphics consultants to pursue engagement opportunities and serve clients as part of a seamless team
- Develop engagement proposals and budgets in conjunction with Project Managers
- Directly control courtroom evidence presentation for FTI clients using TrialMax® and other available off-the-shelf software as necessary
- Consult with attorneys and staff in the war room to prepare electronic courtroom presentations that support opening & closing statements and witness examinations
- Manage TrialMax video deposition databases, including editing designations, producing playlist reports, linking exhibits to testimony and playing video in the courtroom
- Plan, set-up and maintain courtroom and war room equipment during trial, including audio-visual equipment
- Provide on-site client support (at trial sites or client-designated sites) to support war room and courtroom activities
- Serve as liaison with opposing counsel's technology consultant regarding courtroom equipment sharing
- Support remote hearings, arbitrations, and depositions utilizing advanced tools in Zoom® and similar platforms presenting in a virtual environment while simultaneously managing remote connections
- Lead engagements, with responsibility for client service delivery and adherence to budget
- Help develop and execute strategy to grow the Trial Services practice on a local and national level
- Work in close partnership with FTI colleagues in other practices to cross-sell services and recognize opportunities to expand FTI's involvement in Trial Services engagements

Basic Qualifications
- Seven or more years of litigation support experience
- Expert knowledge of computer hardware and software; local area network management and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate concisely with clients (generally attorneys) and others
- Capability to utilize litigation technology applications (e.g., TrialDirector, Sanction, LiveNote, Summation, Concordance, Ringtail)
- Video editing skills and knowledge of existing software platforms
- Proficient knowledge to support audiovisual equipment, applications and hardware
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint; ability to make simple edits
- Ability to provide efficient and effective problem-solving resolution and process management; provide service in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Flexibility to travel and work hours required by clients, including lengthy days, weekends and holidays
- This role requires travel to client and FTI offices
